After the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, technological developments accelerated and war damage turned into a worldwide problem, the concepts of idea and art were influenced by these developments and they started looking for new styles. The social context and functionality of the concept of art has begun to be questioned and new current trials have begun. all the architectural styles that have become classic have been destroyed in this period. With the destruction of imperial and kingdoms, people began to adopt free thinking. This change has led to the search for new styles. Thus, the understanding of modern art began.
In 1901, for the first time, the depiction of nature was drawn by Cezanne in geometric shapes of cubes, cylinders and cones. Picasso and Braque maintained this understanding. The changing art style influenced science, and accelerated the development of art with the technological developments created by accelerated science. Objects are now displayed on all four sides without being connected to a single viewpoint.
Thanks to this acceleration, in the first thirty years of the 20th century, art movements such as Cubism, Fauvism, Expressionism, Futurism, Dadaism, Ready-Made, Construcism and Surrealism emerged. In the same period, developments in the field of industry and technology created the need for aesthetic formatting. In this context, the Bauhaus School was established in Germany in 1919 in order to bring together the artistic, technical and productive components separated by industrialization.
The purpose of the Bauhaus was to blend and mix the applied arts and fine arts in a pot. The way that production will be reflected in the society in the most efficient way has been set out. Designs were made to meet the requirements of the industry. These designs were prepared together with their production and prototypes were prepared in the workshops and produced in the factories. The art began to be taken away from the idea of making art for the society. Art has become more functional. The artists have become more responsive and responsible about the society and social issues.
When the innovations began to take shape, there was always a power against it. In the mid-1920s, political pressures began to increase against the innovations Bauhaus was trying to create. The Nazis opposed innovation and modern art movements closed the Bauhaus in Weimar. After four years off, it moved to Dessau and started retraining. Dessau also moved to Berlin after the years 1925-1932. In 1833, the Nazis were reintroduced in Berlin, and this important institution, which changed the history of the world architecture, was closed down in 1933.
